AdWords display ad builder - Quikstart

 Ad builder, which lets you create professional-looking display ads in AdWords without needing to hire a designer or start from scratch. If you’ve wanted to expand beyond your text ad campaigns, or if you’ve been looking for an easier way to build display ads, this tool can help.

How to use ad builder - Before you get started, check to be sure you’ve opted your campaign into the Google Network. Then follow the steps below to create your ads:

  1. Sign in to your account at https://adwords.google.com.
  2. Click the campaign that will contain your ad.
  3. Click the ad group that will contain your ad.
  4. Select the Ad Variations tab.
  5. Click the Display ad builder link at the top of the ads table.
  6. Choose a template and click the corresponding Create button to create your ad.
  7. Complete the form and upload any required assets. You’ll be able to preview your ad on this page.
  8. Click Continue.
  9. Preview and select the size variations for your ad. (We recommend that you select as many variations as possible.)*
  10. Click Save Ad.

Note: Customizable display ads are currently only available to English language users in the US and Canada targeting these same languages and countries.

Facts about the Yahoo-Google Advertisment Agreement

If you have not heard by now, Google and Yahoo are working on an arrangement where Google Adwords ads, will appear on the Yahoo Ad network. Below is an official presentation on the agreement.

Adwords Editor 6.0.1

In this new release, it’s now possible to download performance statistics for selected campaigns and ad groups, instead of always downloading statistics for the whole account. Also contains, miscellaneous fixes and improvements.

Google reveals search volumes in its Keyword Tool

I noticed today that actual approximate numbers are being used for these search volumes on Google and its search network.

Previously, Google provided this information expressed as a green bar, using low, average, moderate and high volumes. This was a good way to see the volume of traffic for a specific keyword but without actual numbers data.

Google says:

You’ll notice the following three columns included in your Keyword Tool results: Advertiser Competition, Approx Search Volume [Previous Month], and Approx Avg Search Volume.

Google Ad Planner Review
