How does Craigslist generate revenue

Filed under: General — Kyle M Brown @ 8:05 am

Craigslist is an online directory of urban communities. How does Graigslist generate revenue. Ive seen this question asked many times. The answer to that question is:

Craigslist makes money by charging for Job Posting Ads in Major Cities such as Boston, New York, San Diego, Seattle, Washington DC, Los Angeles, San Fransisco, New York and San Francisco.

Readmore about Craigslist Craigslist rivals most of the larger job posting service providers including Monster.com. See the statistics.

Craigslist makes money by charging for brokered housing in New York.

eBay bought a 25% stake in Craigslist in 2004, which I think was a partial or whole stock purchase, so theres more potential money.
