Resolution to The feed providing these headlines is not available error

Basically I had a feedburner feed that has been running for a some time(prior to and after Googles purchase of Feedburner) without any issues.
Suddenly today I notice the BuzzBoost “publicize” feature stopped displaying feeds and started displaying the following error in their place:

“The feed providing these headlines is not available error”

Resolution:

  1. I resolved the issue by visiting the feed url, where I was given an error code and also the returned feed up to the point of the error.
  2. I copied some of  the text on that page near the end and I filter through the actual content on my site where the feed is sourced, using (CTRL-F for speed) until I found the content.
  3. At this point I identified a few special characters that I felt were causing the issue and removed them.
  • In my case it was “ site’s ” causing the problem.
  • Changed to ” site’s “
  1. Went back and refreshed the feeds url which had the error message and the entire feed showed without error.
  2. Went back to the actually place where BuzzBoost was being used and the feed was working without error.

Note: There were at least 30 of these instances, I only removed the first two, about 200 characters into the content. The other instances remained and it still worked. Maybe there is a type of depth into feeds where there can be no special characters, not sure but I’m sure its working now.

Below is a thread that I found while searching for a resolution which had no responses from Google at the time.

I have 20 feeds created by using the rss feed button google suggest on the bottom of a googles page. I put it into feedburner and I have a feed. The problem is that they go out quite frequently and display the message you got. Eventually after a few days the feed returns to working order. It’s reeeally annoying. It’s their news page that the feed was created from, so it’s on their end. Feedburner barely works when you go to make a feed as well, which is mind-boggling.
