We tested this functionality with one of our customers campaigns, who has an e-commerce store. We took took a look at weblogs and noted the peak times for purchases for 30 days. We then adjusted the time that this campaign would run, using this feature.

What we found after several days of testing was that this feature seemed to speed up the amount of time that the daily budget would become exhausted. Before, this campaign would run out of budget around 11pm or it would not reach the daily budget at all.

After implementing this feature, we found the daily budget to be exceeded as early as Mid day at times but always before the end of the day.

We concluded that this feature works but Googles algorithm is obviously optimized for 24 hour schedules and cannot work as well in shorter time periods.
