Google begins Beta testing for CPC bidding on content campaigns.

Filed under: AdWords — Kyle M Brown @ 1:30 pm

A few weeks ago I applied to be a beta tester for the Cost Per Click Bidding on the Content network. We were notified yesterday via an acceptance email from Google.

This added functionality means you can choose specific Google Content Network sites for your ad, and bid for clicks instead of for impressions (CPM) on those sites. Just like you do for the search network.

This new feature will allow you to create new CPC site-targeted campaigns from scratch, or switch existing site-targeted campaigns from CPM to CPC bidding.

I took a breif look at it yesterday, and it seems pretty similar to bidding functionality for search cpc. We will have to monitor some results before we can make a final analysis.

Check back here for the results of the test.
