Google buys Double-Click

Filed under: AdWords, Google — Kyle M Brown @ 9:14 am

On 4.13.2007 Google announced that it had purchased Double-Click . Some seem to think that Google will now have a huge conflict of interest and will loose focus on its bread and butter “Search”. I believe that Googles Search will not suffer from this purchase. In fact, there were rumors of a heated bidding war over DoubleClick between Google, Microsoft and even Yahoo and AOL. If this was the case, Google certainly won this battle and removed this potential plug and play piece of competition for online advertising. I am interested in seeing how this new system will be integrated into the Google AdWords program.
